About SPaDeS
The opening up of a new era of space race, has both government and private companies competing for their place in the space arena. SPaDes, Submillimeter PArticle DEtection System, aims at informing space launch providers of certain risks associated with launching space objects into regions of Earth’s orbit. In a future where space junk is only increasing, there will be a need for detectors to help us mitigate damage to satellites and eventually clean up the near-Earth space environment.

Inventing The Future
We are a group of master students and PhD candidates from University of Sydney. Realising that space debris orbiting the Earth are posing a threat to launched satellites and future space projects, we establish an independent startup company that supports raising space debris awareness and reducing future satellite launching cost.
